NAVISP is supporting cutting-edge European companies to develop novel PNT technologies and services. About 20 ESA member states and Canada have joined the program, underscoring the economic priority of this field.
Overall, NAVISP is divided into three elements aimed to maintain and improve European competitiveness and innovation from different perspectives. NAVISP Element 1, in particular, is dedicated to technological innovations to influence research and development in PNT, with the aim of studying new technologies, developing them, and testing the concept of new products, in many cases implementing ideas and prototypes that will be verified in real conditions.
Activities under Element 1 are fully funded by ESA and follow an annual work plan which is implemented through competitive calls for proposals. This Workplan is prepared by the ESA through consultation with participating States and coordination with EC and EUSPA.
To compile the annual Element 1 Workplan for 2024, NAVISP invites companies and academic institutions from all NAVISP Element 1 participating states to submit innovative PNT ideas, concepts, and solutions.
The deadline to submit your idea for this year’s Workplan is 30 April 2023.
